ready?

Desert?, originally uploaded by adrianclark.

Summer is great, isn't it just?
It's like the world is born again with joy and wonder.

Especially now as it slowly drags on for half the year.

Anyway, enough moaning.
Here's two for all you tanned sun worshippers and beach bums out there:
  • The Fall "kurious Oranj"

  • Drexciya "wave jumpers"

  • Also I will be very happily appearing in the east end of london town on saturday night at (drum roll please):

FITZ AT THE SPITZ – SATURDAY 16TH JUNE

An evening with Fitzrovian Phonographic and friends – Two endangered species come together to present seven acts over the course of the evening for a fiver.

Fitzrovian Phonographic was said to be the hippest new DIY label in London by Roughtrade some time ago. Since their first seven inch by Benjamin Prosser and The Tap Collective they have stuck to their principle of being the modern day torch bearers for the Dandies and Bohos of the bygone age whilst maintaining a dedication to debauchery. They’ve brought together a collection of label artists and friends for a packed bill of music ranging from the swampy garage blues of the Tap Collective to the Dub-drenched analogue sounds of Bass Clef and loads more. A truly mixed bag that reflects the approach that Fitz has to their label output and a good old fashioned party besides.

    Doors 7pm – late. Entry £6 (£5 in advance)
